The Many Faces of Casey Anthony new

The afternoon of the third day of Casey Anthony’s murder trial was much quieter than the morning session, without angry exchanges and far fewer sidebars called by the judge.

A disturbing photo emerges

When the defense team called Ricardo Morales, former boyfriend to Casey Anthony, back to the stand, a disturbing photo was called into question. In early 2008, Morales posted on MySpace a photo of a man standing behind a woman, sitting at a table, as he kisses her cheek. In the photo, you can clearly see that the man is holding, out of the view of the sitting woman, a white folded cloth behind her head. The caption on the image reads “Win her over with chloroform.”

Chloroform has been known to be effective as an extreme sedative in animals and people, knocking them unconscious when held against the face in a cloth. The use of chloroform in the disappearance of young Caylee Anthony has been brought to bear in the years prior to the trial, as the prosecution has found searches related to chloroform on Casey Anthony’s home computer. According to investigators, heavy traces of chloroform have also been detected in the trunk of Casey Anthony’s car, where Caylee Anthony is alleged to have been stored for some time.

“Why did you post this?” asked defense attorney Jose Baez of Morales. According to Morales, it was posted merely as a joke.

Morales was also questioned about having sold photos of Caylee and Casey Anthony together in his home to The Globe, for $4,000. Also brought to light was the sleeping arrangements for Casey and Caylee, when they stayed over at this apartment, and that both slept in bed with Morales, although Morales stated he and Casey were never intimate when Caylee was on the bed with them.
